Day 5: Los Números

The day number 5 assignment can be printed out or you can just number a piece of paper from 1-10 and write the answer in SPANISH. So if the answer is 1, write “uno”.

In GA, you can get a learner’s permit at 15, and there are 9 innings in a regular baseball game.

Quiz question 3 translation:
“Which is the day traditionally for resting or going to church?”

Question 5 tip:
“Todos” means “all” or “every”

We will go over this in class and play a game like this.

The quiz asks you about the seasons, which you haven’t learned yet. Here they are:

The Seasons = Las Estaciónes
Winter = invierno
Spring = Primavera
Summer = Verano
Autumn = Otoño

It helps me to remember the root words of three of the seasons come from the Latin “ver” as in “verde” which means “green”:

INvierno=NOT green
PRIMAvera=first green
Verano= green

And check out this article on the etymology of the word, “otoño”—very close to the word “autumn.”

Looking forward to our class this Thursday at 2:30PM. I have a fun surprise for everyone!
